Traffic and Transportation Engineer; Town Planner / Urban Planner
The Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (CUMTA) is an Institutional Coordination Mechanism across agencies involved Mobility Sector in Chennai Metropolitan Area (CMA). CUMTA was constituted through Tamil Nadu State Legislative Assembly Act No.44 i.e. CUMTA Act, 2010. 1.2 Currently, CUMTA is functioning under Housing and Urban Development Department with ‘Member Secretary’ as the head of the department.

For Traffic & Transport Engineer:
Qualifications, Work experience: a. Undergraduate in Civil Engineering and Post graduation in Traffic & Transportation Engineering or relevant qualification.b. Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Traffic Engineering, Traffic Impact Assessment, Junction Design, Traffic Management Plans etc., and relevant transport related projects.c. Should have mandatory working knowledge in simulation software (VISSIM or other micro simulation software) d. Proficiency to analyse the data
Age Limit: Age as on closing date of advertisement is Not more than 45 years. For exceptionally deserving candidates, age is not a limiting factor.
Remuneration: Consolidated Monthly remuneration is in the range of INR 65,000/- to 1,10,000/- For exceptionally deserving candidates remuneration is not a limiting factor.
For TOWN PLANNER / URBAN PLANNER:
Qualifications, Work experience: a. Should be an Undergraduate in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Equivalent from Reputed University and Postgraduate in Urban Planning / City Planning / TownPlanning / Town & Country Planning / Regional Planning. b. Should have at least 4 years of work experience in Urban Planning / Transport Planning. c.Should have working knowledge in GIS and AutoCAD. d. Should have experience in development of Mobility Plans, Master Plans, (GIS based Master Plan is desirable), Town Planning Schemes and Detailed Development Plans etc.
